On September 26, 2014, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced the filing of a criminal complaint charging the Regional Manager of an as-yet unidentified “General Contractor” that performed an approximately $192 million public construction project on the BronxWhitestone Bridge with “wire fraud in connection with the requirements for participation by minorityowned and women-owned businesses on the Bridge Project.” See Construction Notes Article.
